Kann mich meinem Chat-Kumpel Danny nur anschliessen. *ggg* ... Ein wirklich ganz toller alter Klassiker, der wohl zu Recht zu Ray Charles legendärsten Aufnahmen zählt. Zweite Nr. 1 in den US Pop Charts für ihn (1961).
Für mich ist dieser Klassiker knapp keine 5, auch wenn er wirklich gut gesungen ist. Aber da gefällt mir dann "Georgia on my mind" doch deutlich besser. Wusste gar nicht, dass das von Ray Charles war!

Amerikanischer Jazz/soul Pianist ist am 10 Juni 2004 an einer Leber krankheit gestorben in ein Alter von 73 Jahren... Erbegan schon in 1952 mit seine karriere bein "Atlantic records"... dieser song war sein erste erfolg in NL in Januar 1962 am platz # 20.
Er hatte 9 Hits in 33 Jahren in NL und spielte auch in das film "The Blues Brothers" in 1980 und gewann 12 Grammy's...
in begin 2004 war da sein film uber sein leben "Unchain my heart-The ray Charles story"

Grandioser Text. Da hat sich Ray Charles bei den Damen so richtig eingeschleimt, im Sinne von: In welcher Zeitung findet man die Schlagzeile "Frau schmeißt Mann auf die Straße"? Antwort: "Schöner wohnen". Super-einfacher Akkordaufbau mit maximaler Erfolgswirkung.

Etwas Hassliebe bei mir: Eigentlich mag ich den Song, er ist aber in seiner Eingängigkeit schon wieder fast nervig. Morgens gehört, dann hat man Mühe , ihn wieder aus dem Ohr zu kriegen. Irre!

Ich liebe den Song total...Erinnert mich immer daran dass wir den Song mal in einer Turnhalle gehört haben und bis an den Anschlag aufdrehten und einige anfingen zu tanzen^^-bis alle Lehrer kamen und den Stecker rauszogen...^^

nichts für meine Ohren. Nur dieses Lied
von ihm gefällt mir. Aber viele Kopien,
z.B. die von Hermes House Band oder
Mo'horizons klingen für mich etwas besser.

▓ Ik was zelf altijd een groot bewonderaar van deze prachtige zanger "Ray Charles Robinson" die helaas op 10 juni 2004 overleed !!! Alleen deze plaat uit november 1961 (Holland) heeft me nooit echt gelegen !!! Teveel flauwekul en gepraat op deze plaat !!! Het houd zelfs al bij 2 sterren op !!! Ook in de Hollandse hitlijsten kwam de plaat niet verder dan de 20ste plaats !!!

Jaja, dieser Song hat schon das spezielle Etwas. Das hab ich vor ein paar Jahren in besonderer Weise gemerkt, als der Song in einer Uni-Disse gespielt wurde und alles, was anwesend war, dazu ordentlich abgetanzt hat. Ein Klassiker!!
