Krap 4 sterren !!! ☺
***** I feel as though I'd be more experienced for context here if I was around when Pearl Jam really made their mark. I do apologise to anyone older than me, but I am younger than "Ten" :p
After all, this does feel like the recountings of an artist that has seen and experienced a lot, tackling a rather grim topic with a foresight that I can't yet empathise with.
Regardless, the tune really does resonate well with me. The way the chorus keeps going and going keeps me interested along the way. I don't think this is overly long; I've listened to it twice before finishing typing this review :p
What really fascinates me also is just how much it seems to be generally resonating. On one of their core formats, the Modern Rock/Alternative chart, this has become their biggest ever non-lead single (also excluding "Last Kiss" etc) since "Daughter". Especially crazy considering that the format has recently veered into a poppier direction and has not been paying due to their staple artists. There's just something special in this I think. 4.7
If I had listened to this once and never again I would not have reviewed it, but if I did (for a number on my profile, yeah!), I would have given it 3 stars but had nothing to say about it. I'm glad I didn't/don't do that. Last edited: 17.12.2013 19:40
